The Arizona Travel Collection attended IT Berlin, the world’s largest travel show, with over 10,000 exhibitors and over 110,000 trade visitors. Pre-arranged meetings were held with some 23 operators from Germany and other European countries, to develop new relationships for the members of The Arizona Travel Collection by ensuring they are included in the operator’s future brochures and programs.
“The show allowed the Arizona Travel Collection to meet face-to-face with many of the top tour operators and we will be signing contracts with many of them for our members. The Arizona Travel recently planed and undertook a Sales Mission to the United Kingdom with Canyon Ranch Tucson, the world famous award winning Wellness resort and Spa. The Arizona Travel Collection has been developing Canyon Ranch’s tour operator relationships in Europe, and their Vice President of Sales and Strategic Alliances Canyon Ranch decided to undertake their first sales mission to the United Kingdom with the help and support of The Arizona Travel Collection. Targeting the existing and potential partners throughout the UK, Canyon Ranch wanted to gain a better understanding of the UK market and understand better how to develop their brand awareness.

The Arizona Travel Collection successfully joined the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau for a 5 day Sales Mission to the United Kingdom. From London to the North of England, some 20 appointments with top tour operators and agencies were held in 4 cities.
“Some of the operators we met with were already partners with members of the Arizona Travel Collection, but none had all relationships with all members so the trip was great in developing awareness and building new relationships.” Commented Derek Shanks from The Arizona Travel Collection, “Some of the top producers for Arizona were included in our calls and product training sessions, such as Kuoni, British Airways Holidays, Virgin Atlantic and North America Travel Services. It was the first time that many of the Product Managers we met with had heard of some of our members.”
